2011 Season - Week 15
A Good Week For Wayne - Part 1
Thanks to the 13 owners who voted for the owner to be elected into the BUMS Hall of Fame. Andy H, John Botten and Marcus all finished equal second one vote behind the three-time Champion California Dreams owner. Congratulations Wayne.
A Good Week For Wayne - Part 2
Having fallen into the drop-zone Wayne had a huge 48 point week and moved from 9th to 6th. With Mark scoring 33, Andy H 27 and Marcus 20, Marcus is one point behind Mark and H on 346 points with Wayne 5 ahead. However one of them will be relegated along with Aaron and David S, to be replaced by Daz, Cheryl and Dave G.
Pass and Catch to Papas Fritas Glory
Unless Chief has the most colossal collapse (he leads by 123 points with just 2 weeks to go) he is set for his second Papas Fritas Trophy. As mentioned last week Chief tied Andy H’s 2007 record 7 visits to the marbled halls in a single season. In 2007 H had Tom Brady as his Franchise QB and used a Patriot pass-catch combo to set the Single Season record score of 670 points. Currently Chief is just 8 behind Johnnie’s 2009 winning 584 points for second highest total ever. In 2007 Brady scored 162 and Randy Moss 138 as they combined for 45% of H’s record total. Chief also has Brady as his franchise QB and is riding another Patriot pass-catch combo. Brady has 111 and Rob Gronkowski 96 points as they have provided Chief with 36% of his total so far.
NFL Playoffs
No NFC teams joined Green Bay, San Francisco and New Orleans in the playoffs this week though Detroit and Atlanta are on the verge of becoming the wildcards leaving Dallas, New York and Philadelphia still squabbling over the NFC East division. In the AFC New England won the East joining South winners Houston, while despite both losing Baltimore and Pittsburgh have made the playoffs. In the West all four teams can still win the division after the Chiefs shocked the previously unbeaten Packers.
